The 2011 Corvette Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) as a desirable optional feature, allowing real-time adjustment of shock absorber stiffness for both comfort (Tour mode) and performance (Sport mode) by altering the viscosity of fluid in the shocks using magnetic fields, providing superior handling and ride quality compared to standard shocks, though it added cost and complexity, with replacement options available as the system ages.
The 2011 Corvette NPP (Nuclear Propulsion Package, a GM nickname) option was a factory-installed, vacuum-controlled bi-mode exhaust system that offered quiet cruising and aggressive sport sound by opening or closing internal valves based on engine RPM and throttle, controlled by the ECU.
